What Does Joy Mean?

There are different flavours of depth and longevity of positive feelings.

Pausing to think about the nuances of different words helps us understand and express what we really feel and need for ourselves and from others.

This is especially important for those with kids as the little ones learn how to fully feel and express their emotions. A friend once shared with me that they often pull a piece of string across the room and with his young son, they trace and identify the emotion that they are feeling in the moment along the string and name it.

In the images below, we seek to identify and label the spectrum of positive feelings. Browse the gallery, click on an image and then save them too when you need a quick reference.
