Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose a coach?

So when you're looking for a coach, I would say that there are really four things that you need to look for. The first is what kind of a coach are you looking for? What is your challenge and what would be the right sort of type of coach that you're looking for? The second, probably the most important thing is that you need to check for chemistry. Try talk to a few people. Many coaches provide this free of charge and you need to check to see whether you feel comfortable, whether you think that they will hold space for you. And then I would say the third thing is that you need to check for comfort and respect. So do you respect them? Do you think they are able to carry the right level of communication with you, for example? And I think the last one is check for referrals and testimonials. So you really need to check what other people has have have thought or felt and check that before you decide on which coach you're going to go for.

Why is a chemistry session important

Chemistry really is just chemistry. Like, how do you connect with each other and do you feel comfortable with each other? It's super important that there is chemistry between the client and the coach because as a coach you're holding the client, you're holding a safe space for the client. So the client needs to feel that they can be open, they can be vulnerable. If you don't feel that, you never go deep enough. And if you don't go deep enough, you can't do the real work.

  • Coaching is for anyone that feels they would benefit from some support.

How we are today is made up of different spokes in our life - how we were brought up, the relationships and experiences we had along the way.

We work together to unlock possible new ways of being in the world that that is true and unique to the individual.

  • It’s often said that it’s lonely at the top. At a senior level, an individual may not need a coach per say, but would benefit from a Thought Partner. Someone who is neutral, has relevant experience, can be a sparring partner or just a listening ear to bounce thoughts with on everything from strategy to growth challenges.

  • Generally we suggest 6-8 sessions to start but it’s entirely up to the individual. Remember that habits and beliefs formed over many years take time to understand and change but it’s absolutely possible to get on a path of meaningful growth and development.

  • We also work on bespoke requests with corporates that include designing workshops/programmes, pulling together the right expertise and delivery.

    Nice Things People Say:
Unlike conventional team development programs, this approach begins with the individual by bringing awareness, appreciation and understanding of oneself. Both coaches made the team feel safe to open up and connect. The individual coaching sessions were treasured moments that allowed each of us to take a pause, reflect and aspire to be a Better Me so we can be a Better Us. Concluding the programme with a Team Session rounded up the experience. It was a start towards cultivating a culture of greater honesty; a realization that we are stronger together and that we can lean into one another come what may.
